Talisman Rentals team member, Len Malagon, recently had the opportunity to participate in a workshop that was presented by the ARA of Georgia in collaboration with Yancey Rents. This workshop was centered around the new ANSI A92.2 standards, which specifically pertain to Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, commonly referred to as MEWPs. During the workshop, a significant emphasis was placed on the various requirements that must be adhered to by both owners and operators of these platforms, like scissor lifts and boom lifts.
It is important for rental companies, like Talisman Rentals, to ensure that their supervisors and managers are thoroughly trained on the relevant regulations, the selection process for the right type of MEWP, as well as the best practices for operating these machines safely and effectively. The need for proper training cannot be overstated, as it plays a vital role in maintaining safety standards and compliance within the industry. We would like to extend our gratitude to both the ARA of Georgia and Yancey Rents for the effort they put into organizing this informative event, as it allows companies to stay updated on important industry standards and practices.
