More than 15 high schools in North East Georgia competed in the AGC Skills Challenge in partnership with the NE Georgia Workforce Development Alliance. Participants in the event have the opportunity to participate in categories such as electrical, blueprint reading, carpentry, and HVAC. This helps to prepare students who compete in their regional SkillsUSA event during January each year. Winners of the regional events move to the state SkillsUSA competitions held each March at the Georgia World Congress Center
